Firm History

After successfully working as a personal injury trial attorney for six years in Lake Charles and Lafayette, Louisiana, Thomas V. Alonzo opened his own firm in 1994, focusing on civil and criminal litigation. In 1999, Mr. Alonzo was admitted to the bar in Mississippi and expanded his practice to include injury and accident claims in all areas of Mississippi. Mr. Alonzo’s skill and experience in the courtroom has helped his clients receive over 11 million dollars in just compensation for their injuries.

Mr. Alonzo’s strong interest in justice inspired him to become board-certified in Louisiana to defend clients against serious felonies that carry the possibility of a death sentence. Mr. Alonzo became a felony track public defender and also represented private clients against misdemeanor and felony criminal charges. After being admitted to the bar in both Texas and Georgia, Mr. Alonzo expanded the service area of his firm to include multi-state cases involving jurisdictions in Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas and Georgia.

Testimonial

“Thomas Alonzo helped me to understand what was going on with my case, and I was impressed that he can speak Spanish. He was on top of the case and kept me updated throughout the process. In court, Mr. Alonzo conducted himself professionally, spoke well and seemed to know more than the other attorneys there. I was very happy with the results of my case and would use Mr. Alonzo again if I had to.”
